Kirchner Museum exhibits graphic works

The Kirchner Museum is exhibiting the graphic works of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner until the end of April. Make the most of the last few weeks of the exhibition in Davos.

A master of Expressionism, a heavyweight of classical modernism or an "enfant terrible" of the art world: Ernst Ludwig Kirchner had many facets - just like his works. A key component of his oeuvre is printmaking, with more than 2000 motifs in woodcut, etching and lithography. Kirchner revolutionised and expanded the use of these techniques. One thing remains: His expressive vigour. The exhibition runs at the Kirchner Museum in Davos until 28 April.

Another side to Kirchner
From 9 June, the museum will be showing another facet of his work. Many architectural drawings from the years he studied architecture in Munich have survived to this day. The exhibition aims to bring this unknown side of the painter into focus and show Kirchner's architectural vision using the designs and sketches. In addition, the museum uses selected paintings to show how much Kirchner's knowledge of architecture accompanied him throughout his life.
