In London, the glittering pop-up ice arenas have been the attraction for the winter exit for years. But also half of Vienna meets in front of the illuminated city hall. And Davos, too, continues its great ice-skating tradition with its Ice Dream. True to this tradition, Davos' range of ice skating also remains spectacular. With 4,500 m2 of ice surface, the Davos World of Ice is the largest mobile artificial ice rink in Switzerland.
From December 7, 2024, at 12 noon, the blades can be swung again at the Davos sports stadium. Whether for leisurely ice skating, curling, field hockey games or acrobatics, everything is possible. The ice hockey field in the middle is surrounded by an ice rink. This makes the Eistraum Davos also suitable for speed skating. By the way: two hours before the normal opening times, the Davos Ice Room is reserved exclusively for speed skaters. The ice rink is open for the entire winter season until February 28, 2025.

Thanks to so-called ice gliders, people in wheelchairs can also skate in Davos. The Cerebral Foundation and the Davos Klosters destination are making sure of this as part of the project "Ice skating for people in wheelchairs". An ice glider is a kind of "platform on blades" on which wheelchair users place themselves and their wheelchairs. Ice gliders are designed to fit most wheelchair models. The ice glider is available free of charge on request.
Right next to the Davos World of Ice, the new "Chalet Iisstock" has been added this season. The restaurant offers 50 seats inside. It has a cosy atmosphere with lots of wood, fluffy furs on the benches and hockey souvenirs on the walls, such as a jersey of ice hockey legend Joe Thornton. The outdoor area offers space for 90 guests. Ideal for refreshments before an HCD match or as a breather after skating. Tip: Every Friday there is a large fire bowl to grill your own meat and a Raclette party inside.
