World champion in sustainability
The Swiss rarely mention how sustainable they are: two thirds of Swiss energy is generated from renewable sources, primarily hydropower. We are also number one in consistent recycling (96% glass, 90% aluminum, 77% paper, 76% PET) and have exemplary waste disposal, strict emissions regulations, carefully regulated landscape planning and strict requirements for construction projects.
An excellent transport infrastructure with international airports, a well-developed and punctual rail network and the use of buses enable a pleasant and environmentally friendly journey. Due to the central location within Davos, the Davos Congress Center can be reached on foot.
