Cradle of sledging

Davos Klosters is the cradle of international tobogganing. In 1883 the first official toboggan race was held in Davos. And the famous "Davos sledge" is effectively the original amongst toboggans. Today, at least 8 sledge runs promise fun and variety in Davos Klosters.

experiences in Davos Klosters

Sledging at the Rinerhorn

At the sledge runs of Rinerhorn, children and adults alike can participate in the sledding adventure, navigating the 33 bends and a unique configuration of the steep turns. You are a comfortable twosome perched on one sled or you want to experience the fast pace of a zipfel bobsled. The track is 3.7 km long and located directly under a cable car. When the day suddenly seems short: You can take advantage of the extended hours for sledging on Wednesday and Friday from 7pm to 10.30 pm.

Tobogganing on the Schatzalp - also by night

The Schatzalp - situated 300 vertical metres above Davos - is the starting point for the classic toboggan run to Davos Platz, written about by Thomas Mann in his novel "The Magic Mountain". The wide, well prepared toboggan run is 2.8 km long and sweeps in 18 corners through the magical forest of the Schatzalp down towards Davos Platz. The toboggan run is also well suited for children and beginners.

Madrisa toboggan run

Madrisa offers toboggan fun for all the family. The toboggan run stretches from the Saaseralp, the mountain station for the Madrisa cable car, down a 8.5 km course into Saas . The return trip to Klosters village takes place with the bus from Saas village square. It is possible to hire toboggans at the mountain station. These are returned to the sports shops Dörfji-Sport or Albeina Sport in Klosters Dorf.

Descent on runners from Gotschna to Klosters

The rapid toboggan descent starts at the Gotschnaboden middle station and continues on for over 3.5 km into Klosters. It is possible to hire toboggans at the start on the Gotschnaboden (rental: CHF 10.00 per toboggan).

Snowbraker – the freeride alpine sledge

This new dimension of sledging allows you to use the sledge in alpine freeride regions. Runners are similar to skis and allow the ride on powder - fun guaranteed with all snow conditions. Powerful brakes allow you to take descents of up to 35° and to surf on powder. Pischa is the ideal freeride region for the Snowbraker. You can even snow-shoe from the mountain station up to the top to enjoy the real alpine sledging experience. There is also a version as a tandem sledge. Also suitable for deep snow, safe braking for easy alpine terrain and toboggan runs.
