Best holiday flats: Davos Klosters among the top three

The online platform E-Domizil has presented the “Swiss Holiday Awards 2024”. Davos Klosters secured second place in the “Large Destinations” category. The trend for holiday flats continues.

The award for the best-rated holiday flat was presented in two categories: Firstly for “Large Destinations” - with over 100 rated holiday homes, and secondly for “Small Destinations” – with 30 to 99 rated holiday homes. A total of more than 6,800 holiday properties in Switzerland were evaluated. Toggenburg emerged as the winner in the “Large Destinations” category. The podium is completed by Davos Klosters and Surselva, which took second and third place with 4.81 and 4.79 points respectively.

The holiday apartment boom continues
According to the Federal Statistical Office, a new high of 7.65 million overnight stays was reached in 2022. This corresponds to around 14 per cent of total overnight stays in Switzerland. The latest value creation study by the Graubünden Office of Economy and Tourism even puts the number of guests in the parahotel industry in the canton of Graubünden at over 4 million in 2022, which corresponds to 21 per cent of all overnight guests. 

These are the “Swiss Holiday Home Awards”
Every year, the award honours the destinations and regions whose holiday homes stand out in the categories of facilities, location, cleanliness, external impression and value for money based on customer reviews in 2023.
