The classic: Parsenn

Wide ski slopes for carving turns right to the end, one of the longest ski runs in Europe and the oldest ski race in Switzerland: Parsenn is the largest and most traditional ski area in Davos Klosters. If you like sport, you will love Parsenn.

Parsenn is considered the cradle of skiing in Switzerland. In 1895, four English tourists got lost on the Weissfluhjoch and ended up in Küblis. The Parsenn run was discovered and a myth of the Alps was born. Since the opening of the funicular railway around 90 years ago, Parsenn has been the classic ski mountain with long runs on wide slopes and mountain huts with style and tradition. The Parsenn Derby, the oldest ski race in Switzerland, takes place here every year. The ski area with around 97 kilometers of slopes can be reached from Davos with the Parsennbahn and from Klosters with the Gotschnabahn.

Bucket List on Parsenn

Twelve things you shouldn't miss at Parsenn in Davos Klosters. If your stay is too short for that, just come back!

Parsenn: A day of skiing full of highlights

A day of skiing on Parsenn starts before the official opening. At least if you take part in our Winter guest program. Or if you stay overnight in the middle of the ski area in the only igloo village in Graubünden. Whatever the case: During early bird skiing, you can make your first tracks on the freshly groomed slopes at sunrise. It is also worth tackling the valley run down to Davos Dorf in the morning. This black run may be steep, but it is one of the most beautiful valley runs.

The longest ski run and other special slopes

If there is enough snow, you can complete the twelve-kilometer-long Parsenn descent from the Weissfluh summit down to Küblis. This historic ski descent can now be experienced as a Nostalgia Run. Would you rather go back to modern times? Slip into the role of a ski racer in the "Raiffeisen Run" and determine your best time. In the Nordica Speed Run we show you the top speed you reached at the finish. And you can find a head-to-head race at the Totalp chairlift with a special course for ski and snowboard cross.

Parsenn remains sporty even in summer

Once the snow has melted, change your sport. The Gotschna freeride route for downhillers feels a bit like the A-Line in Whistler. Runners in altitude training and trail runners choose Jasmin Nunige's favorite trail: the Panoramaweg. And you can experience what a tour through a lunar landscape feels like when you go from the Weissfluhjoch via the Felsenweg to the Strelapass. Summiteers add on the hike to the gross Schiahorn (2709 m above sea level) - also popular as a sunrise tour.
