Winter season 2024/25 on Madrisa
The winter season at Madrisa lasts from December 20, 2024 to March 30, 2025.
Barrier-free lifts and mountain restaurants, adventure park for families and sporting highlights such as ski touring, hiking and trail running: Madrisa, Klosters' local mountain, impresses all year round.
There are few ski areas that are as specialized in families with small children and people with disabilities as Madrisa. No wonder: In the children's snow parks in Madrisa-Land and in the Madrisa-Park Klosters, there is a special practice area. Four magic carpets carry the little ski bunnies up. And with a snow bike (available from Intersport at the mountain station), you can go down the slope sitting down with your skis strapped on - ideal for beginners. While the children practice their first turns on three practice lifts, the parents explore the ski area with 23 kilometers of slopes. If there is enough snow, the 7.7-kilometer-long toboggan run to Saas, the winter hiking trails to Mässplatte and Zügenhüttli and the new Mässplatte snowshoe trail are among the highlights.
Bucket List on Madrisa
Twelve things you shouldn’t miss at Madrisa in Klosters.
Those with a handicap don't have to miss out on winter sports. At least, on Madrisa. The cable car and the mountain restaurant are wheelchair accessible. The 6-seater chairlift Schaffürggli also transports skiers with monoskis. The special thing: the safety bar closes and opens automatically. The seat height also adjusts automatically - thus ensuring comfort. Word has got around: every winter, veterans with war injuries come from Great Britain.
Speaking of which: Madrisa-Land is the first adventure park in the Swiss Alps that allows physically and visually impaired children to play. The children's land has a ball run, bouncy castle, slides, water games and swings. Everything is there for children to let off steam. Tip: During the summer season, the life-size Henne Hanna mascot can be found on some Sundays. And families who want to stay longer can also stay overnight in the tree huts on site or in the new Star Suite.
In addition to its family offering, Madrisa is also interesting for athletes all year round. Ski tourers and freeriders love the Madrisa circular tour to Austria and back again. In summer, this route is also known as a hike on former smugglers' paths. Trail runners run past spectacular ridges - and paragliders take off from the launch site near the Schaffürggli chairlift. Not enough yet? A 3D course for archers and monster scooters ensure action in summer.
