The «Schweizer Familie» National Hiking Day gets thousands of people moving every year. On September 13, 2025, the 17th edition will take place in Davos – featuring three diverse hikes of varying difficulty, an enjoyable e-bike tour, and celebrity accompaniment.
With its 700-kilometer network of hiking trails, Davos Klosters offers stunning routes through forests, sunny side valleys, and up to spectacular peaks. Anyone can join the hiking day spontaneously – no registration required and free of charge. Choose one of three guided hikes or the relaxed e-bike tour – all accompanied by well-known personalities. In addition to the tours, an entertaining supporting programme awaits you in the Alpine town, with a marquee, music, and other attractions. The hiking day will take place regardless of the weather.
Look forward to a varied program with guided hikes that not only lead you through picturesque landscapes, but also with special personalities at your side, making it a true highlight.
Let yourself be enchanted by the charm and humor of comedian Marco Rima on the easy route, or, if you are a fan of Bernese folk music singer Melanie Oesch, choose the intermediate route. For ambitious hikers, a more challenging tour awaits, which will take you to new heights in the company of Oceana Galmarini, known from the SRF program "Schweiz aktuell". Those who prefer to travel on two wheels can look forward to a guided e-bike tour. Cross-country skiing Olympic champion Dario Cologna will lead the way on the e-bike tour.
During the day, traditional folk music from the region will ensure a good mood. A special highlight for families and anyone who loves fairy tales and stories are the imaginative Klapperlapapp performances. The music continues in the evening in the Kurpark: Melanie Oesch not only stays active on the hiking trails, but also opens the show block with Oesch's die Dritten – captivating, energetic, and full of joie de vivre. Things then get emotional when the choir Heimweh takes the stage with their unique male voices, providing goosebumps-inducing moments.
To ensure you enjoy the festival to the fullest, we recommend our hotel partners. These packages ensure a relaxing overnight stay after an exciting day.
