Davos Klosters is further developing its experiential region with a stronger focus on environmental, social, and economic issues. The Davos region has been awarded the Swiss Tourism Federation's Swisstainable Destination Level II – engaged designation. Simultaneously, the destination is working to integrate Klosters into the destination program. The goal is to position the entire Davos Klosters experiential region as a Swisstainable Destination Level II – engaged starting in winter 2026/27.

Marketing and communications expert Thomas Knecht is taking over as Head of Marketing and Communications for the Davos Klosters destination. The economist has led marketing and communications departments and projects for companies in the cycling and winter sports industries and for the Swiss Economic Forum since 2007.

Davos, April 4, 2026 – The traditional British-Swiss Parliamentary Ski Race took place this afternoon on Parsenn. Marc Jost and Barbara Schaffner emerged victorious once again, winning the giant slalom with clear best times. Twenty-three members of parliament participated. The event traditionally concludes the 70th Parliamentary Ski Week in Davos.

Björn Caviezel has been appointed the new CEO of the Davos Klosters Destination Management Organization (DDO). The 49-year-old, a native of Graubünden, will take over operational management of the destination in June 2026. Until then, the DDO will continue to be led on an interim basis by its management team and the Chairman of the Board.

Preparations are in full swing in Davos Klosters: The cross-country skiing hotels are ready, the cross-country ski pass for the 2025/2026 season is now available in the holiday shop, and the winter season officially started on October 31st with the opening of the snow farming trail in the Flüela Valley.
