Davos Klosters Mountains used the summer to upgrade the Parsenn ski area: In addition to comprehensive maintenance work on the Parsenn cable car, the popular Meierhoftäli chairlift was fitted with weather protection hoods. A new dining experience was also created at Weissfluhjoch: A modern bar is being built on the rooftop terrace of the mountain station. The glass and metal structure is scheduled to open in mid-December. "The new hotspot will invite guests to linger with its stunning views," says Sergio Michel of Davos Klosters Mountains.
Sustainable into the future
Investments were also made at Jakobshorn and Rinerhorn: The new "Fuxä See" reservoir near Usser Isch will ensure a closed water cycle and enable efficient snowmaking on the Jakobshorn valley runs down to Bolgen. At Rinerhorn, the existing snowmaking system will now have a dual purpose: In addition to producing snow, it will also generate electricity. The Rinerhorn mountain railways will thus cover more than half of their electricity needs themselves in the future.
Comeback on Madrisa
A comeback is taking place on Madrisa: To coincide with the ski area's 60th anniversary, the Glatteggen T-bar lift will be put back into operation after a hiatus of around ten years. The lift has been completely overhauled and technically modernized, providing access to the slopes above the Saaseralp.
Start of Winter in early November
Parsenn Davos is expected to start the winter season with weekend operations on November 7th, before commencing continuous operation on November 21st. Parsenn Klosters (Gotschna) and the Jakobshorn will follow on November 28th. The Schatzalp cable car will resume its winter timetable on November 29th.
