Wide ski slopes perfect for carving turns right to the end, one of the longest ski runs in Europe: Parsenn is the largest and most traditional ski area in Davos Klosters. If you like a sporty holiday, you'll love Parsenn.
Parsenn is considered the cradle of skiing in Switzerland. In 1895, four English tourists got lost on the Weissfluhjoch and ended up in Küblis. The Parsenn run was discovered and a myth of the Alps was born. Since the opening of the funicular railway around 90 years ago, Parsenn has been the classic ski mountain with long runs on wide slopes and mountain huts with style and tradition. The ski area with around 97 kilometers of slopes can be reached from Davos with the Parsennbahn and from Klosters with the Gotschnabahn.
Once the snow melts, you switch sports. The Gotschna Freeride Trail for downhillers feels a bit like the A-Line in Whistler. Runners training at altitude and trail runners choose Jasmin Nunige's favorite trail: the Panorama Trail. And you'll experience what a tour through a lunar landscape feels like when you hike from the Weissfluhjoch via the Felsenweg (Rocky Path) to the Strelapass. Summit seekers can add on the hike to the Grosses Schiahorn (2709 m a.s.l.) – also a popular sunrise tour.
A ski day on Parsenn starts even before the official opening time. At least, that's the case if you participate in our Winter Guest Program. Or if you spend the night in Graubünden's only igloo village, right in the heart of the ski area. Either way, during early-bird skiing, you'll be the first to carve tracks on the freshly groomed slopes at sunrise. Also in the morning, it's worth tackling the run down to Davos Dorf. This black run is steep, but it's one of the most beautiful valley descents.
If there's enough snow, you can start your descent from the Weissfluh summit on the legendary Parsenn run – a full twelve kilometers down to Küblis. Experience this historic route today as a nostalgia run. Want to get back to the present? At the Raiffeisen Run, you can compete like a real racer and chase your personal best time. Your top speed awaits you at the finish line of the Nordica Speed Run. And if you're looking for a direct comparison: at the Totalp chairlift, you can engage in a head-to-head race in ski and snowboard cross on the cross course.
