    Lake Strela

    From the mountain station of the Schatzalpbahn, the route goes up to the Strela Pass. The Lake Strela is located at 2404 m above sea level and can be reached in just 15 minutes from the Strela Pass. The beautifully situated mountain lake is an ideal place to rest, relax and then continue hiking - be it to the Podestatenalp and further into the Unterschnitt or to Arosa.

    In addition to the popular lidos on Lake Davos and in Klosters, there are many other ways to cool off. The Schwarzsee in Davos Laret is an insider tip. The small lake is nestled between rustling fir trees and there are public barbecue areas on its banks.

    Lakes Jöri (Jöriseen)

    The Lakes Jöri are located in the Flüela region at around 2500 m above sea level. From Davos you can take the post bus to Wägerhus and from there across the Winterlücke to the Lakes Jöri. The largest lake is milky green and is fed underground by meltwater from the Jörigletscher. The water in the other lakes is deep blue and clear right down to the bottom.

    Lake Seetal

    Seetalsee in Klosters

    The Lake Seetal is easily accessible from the south side via the Monbieler side valley and the Alp Sardasca. In the summer months, Gotschna Taxi offers regular trips from Klosters to the Alp Sardasca and back. From Sardasca, the Seetalsee can be reached in around 1 hour 15 minutes. At the lake, at 2064 m above sea level, is the Seetalhütte, a small, unmanned hut belonging to the SAC. With its simple furnishings, it is reminiscent of the pioneering days of the hut industry.

    Schlappinersee

    Schlappinersee im Sommer

    The path leads from the mountain station of the Madrisabahn via Zügenhüttli to the Schlappiner Joch. From there it goes steeply down to Schlappin. The Berghaus Erika, right next to the reservoir, invites you to stop for a rest. There are also lovely barbecue areas right by the lake.

    Grialetsch Lake

    Grialetschsee in Davos, Graubünden

    The lake is located right next to the SAC Grialetsch Hut, which is located at 2542 m above sea level between the Davos countryside and the Lower Engadine. The hut and the lake are easily accessible in summer from Dürrboden in the Dischma Valley. Around Grialetsch you can reach six peaks over 3000 m above sea level.

Outdoor & beach pools

On particularly hot days in summer, it doesn't always have to be the cold mountain lakes at the top: just jumping into the cool water of the outdoor pools can cool you down.
