The “Furka Zipper”, a new and exciting highlight, awaits you on schedule at the start of the winter season on 17 November 2017. The latest generation 6-seater chairlift conveniently links the two winter sports arenas of Davos and Klosters.
The “Furka Zipper” describes the benefits of the chairlift in a word: the new chairlift links the Parsenn and the Gotschna ski arenas, hence it links Davos and Klosters, rather like a zipper, and does so in a fast and straightforward manner. The first-class lift will transport up to 2,500 people per hour and shorten the trip from the Gruobenalp to the Parsennfurka to five minutes. The new valley station is located 350 metres lower than the former station of the old Furka double-chairlift.
Fun on the snow has just become safer and more convenient
The new piste is 400 metres longer and also safer, thanks to its new routing. In future there will no longer be a crossing of pistes at the Seetäli ski lift. Skiers and snowboarders will now descend from the Gotschnagrat on the existing slope to the Gruobenalp, the valley station of the new chairlift. The new chairlift represents Switzerland’s first D-Line lift. The pioneering cableway technology of the “Furka Zipper” combines maximum travel comfort with whisper-quiet operation. The new “Furka Zipper” also boasts state-of-the-art heated seats and weather hoods.
