Wandertag Schweizer Familie 2025

A major event bringing together people of all ages will stop in Davos on September 13. On this day, outdoor enthusiasts can choose from three guided hikes and an e-bike tour – each accompanied by prominent personalities.

There are three guided hikes of varying difficulty levels, as well as an e-bike tour, to choose from:

  • Easy Route: Hohe Promenade | 1.5 hours | 5 kilometers | 149 meters elevation gain | accompanied by Marco Rima
  • Medium Route: Jsch Alp | 3 hours | 10 kilometers | 457 meters elevation gain | accompanied by Melanie Oesch
  • Difficult Route: Flüela Valley | 4 hours | 14 kilometers | 466 meters elevation gain | accompanied by Oceana Galmarini
  • E-Bike Tour: Dischma Valley | 2.5 hours | 26 kilometers | 529 meters elevation gain | accompanied by Dario Cologna

Festival Programme in the Kurpark
A diverse festival takes place in the Davos Kurpark surrounding the hikes and opens its doors at 8 a.m. Visitors can expect a large marquee with regional specialties, musical entertainment, and a colorful children's program. The editors of «Schweizer Familie» offer guided tours on the history of Davos. A photo booth allows you to pose for the magazine's cover, while children can enjoy storytelling from "Klapperlapapp" or activities with the mascot. In the evening, the atmosphere transitions seamlessly into a musical highlight: Oesch's die Dritten and Heimweh perform live, before a bar with a DJ brings the day to a close.

Participation and Arrival
Participation in the National Hiking Day is free and without registration – both for the hikes and the entire supporting program. The event takes place regardless of the weather. Therefore, good, weatherproof gear, suitable hiking boots, or, for the e-bike tour, a suitable bike are essential. Those without their own bike will find a wide selection of rental shops right in Davos. The meeting point and festival grounds are located at the Kurpark in Davos Platz. Traveling by public transport is recommended. For those with a long journey, there is also a special overnight stay offer at selected hotels.
