The Parliamentary Ski Week offers exciting opportunities for exchange
The focus of the Parliamentary Ski Week is on networking, political discussions about the future relationship between Great Britain and Switzerland and the EU, the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, and a diverse supporting program.
A Time-Story Event
The ski race originally stems from a parliamentary meeting between the two countries in a Davos hotel in 1956. The two groups spontaneously competed in skiing. A year later, the first organized ski race took place – laying the foundation for a long tradition. This ski week is the cornerstone of the close ties between the British and Swiss parliaments, which both sides intend to maintain for many years to come in political, sporting, and friendly terms.
