The cross-country skiing season in Davos Klosters kicks off on October 31st – thanks to snow farming. The four-kilometer trail in the Flüela Valley has been prepared with snow from the previous season and is ready for both professionals and recreational skiers. Tickets can be purchased through the destination's holiday shop. Advance sales for the regular trail pass have also begun. Furthermore, the après-Nordic offerings have been expanded: Alp Garfiun now features a cozy lounge with specialty drinks. "This takes the enjoyment of cross-country skiing in Klosters to a new level," says Giulia Monigatti, Winter Product Manager at the Davos Klosters destination.
Upgrade on the mountain: Rooftop bar and more comfort
The mountain lifts will begin operating in mid-November. Davos Klosters Mountains used the summer to upgrade the Parsenn ski area: In addition to extensive maintenance work on the Parsenn cable car, the popular Meierhoftäli chairlift was fitted with weather protection hoods. A new dining experience has been created at Weissfluhjoch: A modern bar is being built on the rooftop terrace of the mountain station. The glass and metal structure is scheduled to open in mid-December. "The new hotspot will invite guests to linger with its stunning views," says Sergio Michel of Davos Klosters Mountains.
Over 40 Activities in the Winter guest programme
The Davos Klosters destination's guest programme offers over 40 diverse activities in the winter of 2025/26. From llama trekking and introductory snowboarding lessons to igloo building, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Those who love cold temperatures can now enjoy not only ice swimming but also a cold-weather hike around Lake Davos. “The cold is a powerful and intense element,” says Markus Blum. The Davos-based adventurer leads the courses and motivates even those who are sensitive to the cold: “Many concerns quickly disappear as soon as you try it.”
Time travel and anniversaries
The Davos Klosters event calendar is packed again this coming winter, as usual. In addition to classics like the Spengler Cup and the iconic “Davos Sledgends” toboggan race, there’s another highlight: On March 21, winter sports enthusiasts on the Rinerhorn will immerse themselves in what was probably the most colorful decade of skiing: With the new 90s party, the entire mountain will be transformed into a neon-colored nostalgia zone. A different kind of time travel awaits in Klosters: Just in time for the 60th anniversary of the Madrisa ski area, the legendary Glatteggen T-bar lift will be put back into operation after a ten-year hiatus.
