Davos Klosters is creating the digital foundation for the destination of the future

Published : 23. June 2026

Guests of Davos Klosters can now benefit from a completely revamped digital offering, including a new Davos Klosters app, a fully digital guest card, and a unified user profile. Behind these new applications lies a digital infrastructure that brings guests, service providers, and the destination closer together.

In the new digital ecosystem of the Davos Klosters destination, guests embark on a journey not only in the real world but also digitally. The digital experience is seamless and more personalized, making it more useful for both guests and tourism providers, and streamlining processes. The development and implementation of the various projects took four years and strengthens Davos Klosters' position as a pioneer of digital innovation in alpine tourism.

Three Building Blocks of a Networked Ecosystem
The new digital infrastructure of Davos Klosters is based on three key elements: a shared data and content base (Content Hub), a modern e-commerce platform for digital offers and bookings (holiday shop), and intelligent guest communication (CRM and marketing automation) across all channels.

These three elements seamlessly integrate, transforming the website, holiday shop, app, guest card, newsletter, and other digital services into a networked ecosystem. Information, offers, and services are provided where they offer guests the greatest added value and enable service providers to interact directly and easily.

Every guest receives a unified digital guest profile, which guides them from initial inspiration through planning and booking, all the way through their stay and beyond. This creates a "Digital Customer Journey" that provides guests with more personalized, relevant, and efficient information, offers, and services from the destination and its providers than previous systems. Guest data is strongly protected, and guests themselves decide how it may be used.

The new Davos Klosters app as a digital travel companion
The Davos Klosters app has been further tailored to the needs of guests. It offers live information, event tips, dining options, leisure ideas, and personalized content. The app is aimed not only at vacationers but also at second-home owners and locals.

Through the intelligent use of data, information and offers can be delivered even more precisely in the future. This transforms the app into a personal digital travel companion, making a stay in Davos Klosters easier, more enriching, and more attractive.

The guest card goes fully digital
Another milestone is the complete digitization of the guest card. It is now directly integrated into the app and replaces the previous paper version. In addition to the familiar benefits and discounts, the digital guest card now also includes a public transport ticket and new opportunities for direct communication with guests.

For guests of Davos Klosters, the digital guest card means greater convenience, a clearer overview, and access to the services offered at any time. At the same time, it opens up new possibilities for the destination and its service providers to further develop the guest program and highlight its added value.

From Vision to Implementation
The launch of the new systems concludes a four-year project. This included investments in technology, data management, and digital processes. Among other things, this involved relaunching the websites, building a modern content hub, further developing the holiday shop, introducing a unified destination login, automating guest communication, and digitally integrating numerous partner and information systems.

"This phase of our long-term digital initiative is an important milestone on the journey to becoming the destination of the future." “It’s not an endpoint, but rather the foundation for the next phase of development,” says Reto Branschi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DDO, who initiated the project as CEO and personally led it to completion. Davos Klosters has always been among the pioneers of digitalization in tourism, Branschi explains. “We have benefited significantly from this leading role. Our guests appreciate the ease of use and the provision of offers tailored to their needs. For DDO as a destination management organization and our partner businesses, it enables more efficient processes and new marketing opportunities.”

From Graubünden for Graubünden
The now-completed project phase was launched four years ago by DDO together with the Graubünden-based digitalization expert Werner Pircher. “His visionary perspective inspired us all,” says Reto Branschi about the founder of the St. Moritz Spot Agency, who passed away in 2024. Pircher also brought the Laax-based agency Inside Labs onto the project team. Together with the DDO management, the two leading digital agencies from Graubünden contributed their specialist knowledge and experience.
