The "myclimate Climate Fund Davos" provides financial support for ecological measures in your company. It is based on the principles of the "Cause We Care" program of the Swiss foundation "myclimate". The initiative goes beyond tourism. It is designed for companies of all sizes and in all sectors.
"With net zero by 2030, Davos has set itself an ambitious goal," says Reto Branschi, CEO/Director of the Davos Destinations Organization. "But we are doing this because we know that a world-famous tourism and conference destination like Davos has a role model function," he adds. The primary goal of the initiative is to promote as many projects as possible each year that contribute to reducing emissions. To achieve this, the Destinations Organization, together with the municipality of Davos and the "myclimate" foundation, has created the "myclimate Davos Climate Fund". The program enables participating companies to generate additional income.
It's worth participating
Climate protection has long been a criterion for travelers planning their holidays. With the "Davos 2030" project and the integrated "myclimate Climate Fund Davos", you and your company have the opportunity to make an effective contribution to climate protection. The project is based on the "Cause We Care" model. Guests make a voluntary climate protection contribution when they stay in a hotel or shop in a store. 35 percent of this contribution can be used for measures in their own company. 15 percent goes to the "myclimate Climate Fund Davos", which serves as a supplementary funding instrument on site in Davos. In concrete terms, half of the guest contribution is used for ecological measures on site and in the companies. The other half of the guest contribution goes to climate protection projects of the Swiss foundation "myclimate", including the "climate-optimized forest management in the canton of Graubünden and Davos" project. Guests therefore assume responsibility for the unavoidable CO2 emissions emitted during their stay.

Participation in the "Davos 2030" project with the "myclimate Climate Fund Davos" is an opportunity for companies to finance climate protection projects. The climate fund is constantly filling up, thanks in part to the municipality of Davos, which provides an annual contribution of 250,000 francs.

Quickguide: This is what the first steps look like
Integration into the “myclimate Climate Fund Davos” is a snap: in just six weeks, your company, association or institution will be integrated into the climate fund and become a full participant.
After an initial kick-off meeting, the first step is a rough analysis of the current status and a definition of the services that should include a voluntary climate protection contribution in the future. The "myclimate" foundation provides you with active support in the second step: for example, in preparing guest communication and campaign materials. The employees are also trained by "myclimate".

Who controls the "myclimate climate fund Davos"?
The highest body is the steering committee. It represents the participating companies and is made up of one representative each from the destination organization, the municipality of Davos and a member of the management of "myclimate". You can find further information in the regulations.
Who takes care of the office?
The Davos Destinations Organisation takes on the role of office. It acts as a contact and information point for the concerns of the "myclimate Climate Fund Davos", for participants and for the media. Among other things, it takes on the information and coordination of the participating companies. It also monitors the implementation of measures in the companies.
