Silver jubilation in Davos: Reception and party for the World Cup team on April 4

Published : 25. March 2025

Cyril Fähndrich, Jonas Baumann, Jason Rüesch, and Valerio Grond made history at the World Championships in Trondheim, Norway: With silver in the team relay, they won the first medal for a Swiss men's team in 53 years! This, of course, deserves to be celebrated.

That's why everyone – family, friends, acquaintances, and the entire community – is cordially invited to a fitting welcome for the quartet on Friday, April 4, at 5 p.m. Goosebumps are guaranteed as the silver heroes walk through the cross-country ski guards and look back on their now legendary competition in speeches.

The festivities are far from over: at 5:45 p.m., free buses will continue to Monstein, the home of Grond and Rüesch. There, fans can first get autographs before the official part of the fan and ski clubs begins. Cheers, hustle and bustle, and merriment in the best Unterschnitt tradition are guaranteed – and food and drink, including a bar, will be provided.

At 9 and 10 p.m., free buses will take the revelers back to Davos (Bahnhof Platz – Talstrasse – Bahnhof Dorf). Those who wish can, of course, continue the party in Monstein. That such a night can last into the early hours was impressively demonstrated two years ago with the spontaneous reception for downhill world champion Jasmine Flury. So, head straight to Arkadenplatz on April 4th – and then on to Monstein!
