A summer full of sounds

Published : 04. June 2026

Open-air events, concerts, and cultural highlights create special summer evenings in Davos Klosters. These events bring music, atmosphere, and a festival feeling to the mountains.

The cultural summer in Davos kicks off with a special highlight: On July 2nd, the Kurpark will be transformed into a large live TV stage for the popular "Donnschtig-Jass". The focus will be on the Jass card game duel between Hohenrain LU and Römerswil LU. Around the live TV broadcast, a diverse program awaits you, featuring show acts, celebrity guests, and musical entertainment. Afterwards, the after-party will ensure a lively summer evening in the heart of Davos.

Jazz, blues, and relaxed festival moments will be brought to Davos and Klosters from July 4th to 11th by "Davos Klosters Sounds Good". Hotels, bars, sunny terraces, and open-air venues will be transformed into concert stages featuring international live music. A particular highlight is the "Jazz Train" on July 4th: This special train, accompanied by live music, will travel from Davos to Klosters and back – including an aperitif stop in Cavadürli.

From August 1st to 15th, the "Davos Festival" will take place. Under the motto "Courage," the festival promises surprising moments in chamber music, solo, and orchestral concerts. Performances will be held in concert halls, churches, the large town hall, stables, and outdoors – all of Davos will resonate with music and host around 80 young musicians from around the world.

In Klosters, the "Gatschiefer Openair" will once again transform the festival grounds near the Bündelti schoolhouse into a meeting place for folk and Schlager music fans on June 26 and 27. This popular open-air festival is taking place for the sixth time and promises to delight audiences again this year with numerous acts and a fantastic festival atmosphere. A special highlight in 2026: the "Stubete Gäng" (a traditional Swiss folk music group).

At the end of July, another cultural highlight follows: "Klosters Music". From July 31 to August 9, the festival's theme is "Icons," bringing renowned artists such as Bryn Terfel, Miloš, Maurice Steger, and Sir András Schiff to Klosters. Chamber music, film scores, and large orchestral works create memorable concert moments in a unique atmosphere.

Music and mountain experiences come together at the "Migros Hiking Sounds" festival on September 5th and 6th at Madrisa. After a leisurely hike, attendees can enjoy live concerts with renowned artists and a unique setting by a mountain lake with views of the Grisons mountains. A perfect blend of nature, activity, and festival atmosphere.
