The Elsbeth Kasser Collection comprises over one hundred watercolors and drawings created by Jewish artists during the Second World War in the French internment camp of Gurs. The images bear witness to the inhumane conditions in the camp and the horrors of daily life. The Swiss woman Elsbeth Kasser provided assistance in this camp with great civil courage. She set an example of humanity in this horrific place. The exhibition and numerous accompanying events aim to contribute to the dialogue about antisemitism and discrimination, then and now.
The exhibition runs from August 5 to September 17, 2026. Free entrance.
