Film description: Wildlife photographer and documentary filmmaker Vincent Munier takes viewers on a breathtakingly beautiful journey. Deep in the forests of the Vosges, he learnt from his father how to read the animals’ tracks and explore where they feed, hunt, build their nests and sleep. Now it is time to pass this knowledge on to Simon, Vincent’s son. Together, the three set out to discover the diversity and enchanting beauty of the ancient, moss-covered forest. Hidden beneath the trees, grandfather, father and son spend many nights outdoors, observing and listening to the myriad sounds. And we discover with them deer, owls, foxes and lynx – and sometimes even the flapping of wings of a very rare animal: the capercaillie.
