En Fanfare

Thibaut, a conductor from Paris, is at the peak of his career and fills concert halls all over the world. One day, a medical examination reveals that he and his sister are not related at all, as Thibaut was adopted. Instead, he learns that he apparently has a biological brother. Jimmy is employed in the school canteen in a working-class town in the north of France and plays the trombone in the local brass band. Their lives couldn't be more different, but their passion for music and their musical talent soon bring them closer together. “En fanfare” received standing ovations at its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. A humorous yet touching comedy about chance and fate, brotherly love and the all-conquering power of music.
