Crossing

Retired teacher Lia wants to find out what has become of her niece Tekla, who has been missing for years. Lia gets a tip from Achi, a quirky teenager from her neighbourhood in Batumi, that Tekla has swapped the tranquil conditions of Georgia for the vibrant life in Istanbul. The unlikely couple embark on a journey together to the Turkish metropolis, where they succumb to the fascinating and chaotic charm of the city. Audience favourite at this year's Berlinale, with great emotions.
