Conferencein Davos addresses the growing digital risks facing children
Cyber grooming, sexual exploitation and digital violence against children are becoming an increasing concern for parents, authorities and policymakers in Switzerland.
To address the growing challenges of child protection in digital environments, the White Lens Foundation will host the conference “Child Protection In The Digital Space” on 20 and 21 August 2026 at the AlpenGold Hotel in Davos. The event will focus on how children and young people can be better protected in digital environments — particularly where technological developments, prevention, education and law enforcement increasingly intersect.
The conference will bring together professionals from the non-profit sector, healthcare and education, politics, academia and technology. Its aim is to examine current developments, strengthen interdisciplinary exchange and discuss collaborative approaches to improving child protection in the digital space.
The event will begin on 20 August with an informal networking evening bringing together experts, speakers, participants and the initiators of White Lens. Highlights will include a young artist concert and an interview with a young athlete.
On the main conference day, 21 August, expert talks from a range of disciplines will address the social and psychological impact of digital environments on children and adolescents, as well as technological approaches to safer internet use.
The event will be held bilingually in German and English.
