On baking day, the traditional wood-fired oven at the local history museum is fired up and puura bread, milled bread, plaited bread, nut croissants, almond croissants, sweet corn rolls and fruit tarts are baked. All these products can be purchased from 9 a.m. or enjoyed with a drink in the Herrenstube of the local history museum. “First come, first serve!” Anyone who prefers to make their own bread and plaited bread dough can bring it to be baked for a small fee between 8 and 10.30 am. For children, there is a pot of dough from which they can shape and bake snake bread and rolls free of charge.
