It all started with the "Davos sledge"

Cradle of sledging

Davos Klosters is the cradle of international tobogganing. In 1883 the first official toboggan race was held in Davos. And the famous "Davos sledge" is effectively the original amongst toboggans. Today, at least 8 sledge runs promise fun and variety in Davos Klosters.

The rapid toboggan descent starts at the Gotschnaboden middle station and continues on for over 3.5 km into Klosters. It is possible to hire toboggans at the start on the Gotschnaboden (rental: CHF 10.00 per toboggan).

Airboard is the inflatable high-tech body-board for the snow. Controlled by shifting the weight, it gives the rider a sense of flying clean over the snow. Braking takes place by positioning the air cushion laterally. The Airboard, a 100% Swiss development, can be ridden on all toboggan runs on the Davos Klosters mountains. Due to the large bearing surface it is possible to descend on prepared pistes and in virgin and deep snow with ease. However, please note that riding Airboards or other similar sledges on winter sports pistes that are not specially signed for this purpose is prohibited.

Snowbraker – the freeride alpine sledge

This new dimension of sledging allows you to use the sledge in alpine freeride regions. Runners are similar to skis and allow the ride on powder - fun guaranteed with all snow conditions. Powerful brakes allow you to take descents of up to 35° and to surf on powder. Pischa is the ideal freeride region for the Snowbraker. You can even snow-shoe from the mountain station up to the top to enjoy the real alpine sledging experience.

How and where:

At valley station "Pischa" three Snowbrakers are available for rent per day (8:20 a.m - 4:20 p.m.). If you want to try or rent the Snowbraker, please contact:
