Eight days, three countries and always in teams of two: the Transalpine Run is a stage race in which participants cross the Alps. With a route length of 200 to 300 km and around 15,000 metres of altitude to be covered, the run is one of the most demanding mountain runs in Europe. In 2021 Klosters is a new stage location.
Since its premiere in 2005, the Transalpine Run has established itself as one of the most important and emotional team stage races worldwide. This is also reflected in the top-class starting field. Every year runners from more than 40 nations provide international flair during the stages of the alternating east and west route. A total of 200 teams of two start with a common goal: the successful crossing of the Alps on foot. The stage in Klosters will take place from 7 to 9 September 2021.
