The family mountain in Klosters

The family enjoyment mountain

The Madrisa-Land is the first adventure park in the Swiss Alps that makes playing possible for physically and visually impaired children. In the beautiful children's land with a magnificent view, young and old alike can really let off steam at around 1900 metres above sea level with jumping, sliding, water games, swings and much more. Additional thrills are provided by monster and family scooters and the 3D arch park or you can stop by for a chat with the animals in the Madrisa animal park!

Madrisa round trip

On a 2-3-day hiking trip, you can explore Madrisa and the mountain village of Gargellen, when you cross into Austria. The Madrisa round trip is thus a trans-border hiking adventure. Throughout the pass hike, you will follow in the footsteps of sumpters and smugglers, who used to trade along this relatively easy trail. The hiking trip is divided into daily stages of approx. 5 1/2 to 6 hours.

Follow in the footsteps of smugglers

Would you like to explore the world of smuggling in beautiful mountain scenery? The two-day mountain hike around the mighty Madrisa Mountain will take you on an exciting tour of discovery on both sides of the Swiss-Austrian border. The route is designed to include approximately six hours of hiking per day and is suitable for children from the age of twelve. All you need is a little stamina as well as curiosity and a passion for exploring things! www.schmugglerland.com

You will find the Kneipp facility above the Madrisa-Alp mountain restaurant near Öpfelsee. Especially in summer, the Kneipp facility provides welcome refreshment for everyone. The facility consists of varied posts around the lake, made of natural materials such as stone, pebble, wood, moor, pine cones and water. You will walk around the Öpfelsee barefoot in order to feel the different attractions better.

            Secluded picnic spots

Not every BBQ has to include a long hike – you will find several easily accessible and well-equipped BBQ and picnic spots on our mountains. There are some up on Madrisa, too: Untersäss Madrisa is located next to the waterfall between Untersäss and Mässplatten, some 30 minutes’ walk along hiking trail no. 101 (Prättigau high-altitude trail). This is a short round trail, which is also ideal for children.
