The imposing mountain ridges, mysterious mountain forest, lush mountain meadows, unexpected views down into the valley all promise a unique experience as you walk up to the Stafelalp. This experience is further enhanced by the sculptures installed along the alpine path. The sculptures appear during the annual International Sculpture Symposium, which is held every year in July, and are loaned by the sculptors as a gift to Davos. So what’s stopping you! Discover the way that the sculptures are re-staged in nature. The installations are changed every year. Information panels present the artist and the project, providing an insight into the artistic process.
The starting point of the Davos Frauenkirch - Stafelalp Sculpture Trail is the H.ART | BOX created by the sculptor Andreas Hofer in Davos Frauenkirch. The bus stop and Davos Frauenkirch RhB railway station are just beside the sculpture. You’ll reach the Stafelalp after an hour’s leisurely stroll. The trail can also be walked in winter, is signposted and open daily. Individual events with aperitif or accompanying programme of events and guided tours for groups are possible at any time on request.
