The 13km long nature trail on the heathland in Davos is a place to which you bring your head, hand and heart. The trail is intended to pique the interest of children and adults of all ages and inspire visitors to keep returning to GWunderwald and to Davos.

Starting at a Davos Public Transport Services bus stop, the different trails take you in the direction of the heathland, the centre of the GWunderwald. Different situation-based ‘experience’ points have been set up along these trails. Visitors can freely select their route and get to the next bus stop or restaurant from any trail. The entire trail can be experienced in eight different sub-trails that can be combined with each other. You will have the opportunity to delve into different nature topics in situational contexts on hiking trails and forest roads covering some 13 km. There are 30 active sites to expand your horizons on nature, recuperation, landscape, agriculture and forestry, hunting, flora and fauna, and much more. These sites are also particularly suited for children, as they explain the surrounding nature in a hands-on, interactive manner. The goal is to pique their curiosity – or even promote the discovery of the wonders of nature. The trail is equally interesting for both adults and children and promises a wonderful family day-out.
The “GWunderwald” comprises eight paths that can be combined with each other, e.g. Davos-Glaris - Heidboden or Davos-Islen - Sertig Mill – Heidboden etc.
Tip of the author
You can also get to know the nature trail on excursions. Forest warden André Kindschi, in his role as ranger, organises guided tours through the “Gwunderwald” as part of the Davos Klosters Guest Programme and also for individuals, e.g. school classes.
