A short break on the slopes – and suddenly music drifts across the snow. Children stop, listen, and dance. A special atmosphere fills the air around the mountain station.
The event deliberately complements the existing offerings of the family-friendly mountain with a musical program. «For us, the piste spectacle is an expansion on a musical level», says Lorena Oberholzer, Social Media and Event Manager at Klosters Madrisa Bergbahnen AG. At the same time, the event increases Madrisa's visibility in the wider region. «But the main idea is a season finale especially for families. For us, it's a very enriching event – for all ages.»
Music, Mascots, and Winter Sports
A diverse program awaits guests around the stage, featuring music, commentary, and children's entertainment. Mascots like Mia and Schneemo kick things off, followed by sing-alongs with Salzi Musig and live music from Mättu & den Schnudderbuebe. The story of Mia and the snow monster Schneemo is also part of the program.
While music and entertainment take place on stage, winter sports remain an integral part of the experience all around. As Oberholzer explains, the goal, together with the organizer, is to foster a love of winter sports in children – whether skiing, snowboarding, or sledding.
Even day visitors stop to listen
Since the event takes place right at the mountain station, it's not just event attendees who experience the special atmosphere. Many day visitors also stop, listen, and are swept up in the program.
With bands, presenters, and characters like Hanna and Snowli, a unique energy is created on the mountain. «With everyone involved, you naturally don't feel like you're in the everyday», says Oberholzer. At the same time, the event also piques the curiosity of other guests: those who only came to ski often stop – and are tempted by the atmosphere.
Thus, the «Familien-Pistenspektakel» on the Madrisa becomes a vibrant end to the season in Klosters – with music, winter sports, and many shared moments in the snow.
