The extensive snowfall of the last few days has made it possible: the legendary Parsenn downhill run (run no. 56) from the Weissfluh summit down to Küblis is open again as of this Wednesday, 20 January. This downhill run is one of the Swiss ski classics. No wonder: winter sports enthusiasts master a whopping twelve kilometres and 2000 metres in altitude.
A downhill run steeped in history
The piste is also very varied: in the upper section it leads through high alpine terrain to Parsennfurgga with a fantastic view. Afterwards, it runs in gentler terrain until Schifer. It continues through the sparse mountain forest down to Küblis. By the way: If you want to know more about this historic descent, read the story about the Parsenn Derby. Enjoy reading - and of course whizzing down to Küblis.
