Runners are already preparing for the day when the «Madrisa Trail Klosters» will take them up the Rätschenhorn. The high mountains play the main role: The view from the highest point of the trail run at 2700 meters and the ascent to the «Jägglisch Horn» are among the highlights of the competition. On the T54 trail, over 4000 meters of altitude add up over a distance of 54 kilometers with a single trail portion of 90 percent. The run over a ridge towards the «Gafier Platten» is another highlight of the route: when the starting field reaches the popular hiking destination, the participants look out onto a plain of snow-white, furrowed limestone.
Every run an adventure
«The Madrisa Trail demands a lot from the participants. It is technical and has a demanding elevation profile, but rewards with a tremendous panorama», says Stephan Hugenschmidt, the winner from 2020 and 2021. The second category of the competition is somewhat less demanding: the T24 Trail runs as a panoramic run above the Klosters valley floor and leads over a 70-meter suspension bridge. With 24 kilometers and 1247 meters of altitude, this category attracts not only professionals to Klosters who run top times. The distance is also suitable for beginners. Spectators can follow both runs in the livestream. Click here to register.
Davos X-Trails on 28 and 29 July
The window of opportunity to register for the Davos X-Trails on July 28 and 29 has also opened. Runners will start on four different distances at the former Swissalpine Marathon. The longest competition stretches over a distance of 68 kilometers. The highlights are the Dischma Valley, the Scalettapass, the Sertigpass, Fanezfurgga, Monstein and Sertig Dörfli. Last year, the list of participants included a total of 1638 names from 32 countries. Among the participants in the "Silver Run" over 23.6 kilometers was Dario Cologna, who chose to live in Davos, at the start.
