Davos Klosters is one of the most popular winter destinations

Together with “Home To Go”, the digital platform “E-domizil” has analysed over two million search queries for the coming winter season. Alongside Arosa and Grindelwald, Davos Klosters is one of the most searched-for holiday destinations this winter.

The holiday flat portals “E-domizil.ch” and “Hometogo.ch” analysed travel behaviour for the new winter season from 8 November 2023 to 1 April 2024. The result: the most searched-for destination in Switzerland is Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. With nine destinations among the 20 most searched-for destinations, Graubünden is the nationwide leader. Davos, Arosa and Lenzerheide occupy second, third and fourth place respectively.

Holiday flats still available at peak times
According to the analysis, holiday flats for the popular Christmas and sports holidays are currently still available in almost all regions in Switzerland. A look at the average prices shows that prices in the holiday flat market do vary. The average across Switzerland from 2 to 10 December is CHF 200 per night. From 23 to 30 December, the average price is CHF 249 and from 29 January to 4 February 2024 it is CHF 255.30.

Over 40,000 registered accommodations
In recent years, “E-domizil” has been able to position itself at the top of the list of online agents for holiday flats and holiday homes in Switzerland and is working increasingly intensively with Swiss tourist destinations. Over 40,000 holiday homes from private individuals and agencies are registered directly there.
