Many say that the Songbird Festival Davos is the most beautiful festival in Switzerland. A compliment that makes organizer Michel Pernet happy: “Year after year, we invest a lot of heart and soul in making not only the artists feel comfortable, but also our loyal audience. Only in this way can unique concert evenings be created.” And exactly such concert evenings are guaranteed this year, when Switzerland's singer-songwriter festival takes place again from 8 to 23 December 2023.
A brilliant start
The Geneva band Kadebostany will kick off the festival on Friday, 8 December at the AlpenGold Hotel Davos. Their songs are currently playing over and over again. No wonder: they already have over a million streams on YouTube, dominated the charts in over 30 countries, played over 500 live shows in recent years and were even featured on the soundtrack of the Hollywood blockbuster “Fifty Shades of Grey”. Only rarely does the sensational live band of the charismatic musical Zampano Guillaume de Kadebostany play in Switzerland. And even rarer on such a familiar stage. And with a large formation, including two female singers and a brass section. The next evening, Dada Ante Portas, Switzerland's most successful rock-pop band to date, performs. With songs like “Dance Beside the Moon”, “She Cries for Someone Else” and “Taking Your Love”, they have played their way into the hearts of many fans. After a long break, they now return with a best-of set list garnished with new songs.
A banger to close the festival
The final concert also ends with a big bang: Baschi needs no introduction to anyone in Switzerland. Just a moment ago, he showed what an extraordinary musical talent he has on the TV show “Sing meinen Song” on 3+. And what a great entertainer he is. On 23 December he will come to the Songbird Festival Davos for the first time, with all his hits and four number 1 albums in his luggage. In short: Baschi, the charismatic national hero. A veritable successor to Büne Huber, Kuno Lauener and Polo Hofer.
