Outdoor activities for families

Make the dreams of your children come true and stay overnight at the barn of a farm in the warmth of the straw. It’s not just about the overnight stay – your family will also learn about the life of the mountain farmers.

There is always something to do on a farm such as e.g. making hay, feeding animals or repairing fences. If you feel like helping out you are welcome to do so or your children can play with the farmer children or the yard dog. During the day, you explore the surroundings of the farm on a hike or rent mountain bikes and go on a beautiful tour, enjoy the Adventure Park Färich in Davos or the Madrisa Land in Klosters.

You don’t have to go to bed with the chickens in the evening, but after an eventful day and saying bye to the goats, sheep and dog, everyone is usually ready to hit the hay. A hearty farm breakfast awaits you in the morning with homemade products from the farm or its neighbours.

Sleeping in the hay in a sleeping bag including a delicious breakfast in the morning with homemade bread from the wood stove. On request, a simple meal is served in the evening. Children may help with the cows (provided they are not on the summer pastures), rabbits and chicken.

Landwasser farm (Post Glaris)

Sleeping in a barn in the hay or on mattresses and enjoying a wonderful breakfast in the morning. During summer, the Landwasser Farm in Davos Frauenkirch provides inexpensive night quarters as well as an insight into farm life.

One

Temporary skate park on Parsenn car park

During the summer months there is a temporary skate park on the Parsenn parking lot. The facility is operated by the municipality of Davos. One of the aims is to establish a meeting place for young people where they can practice their sport and spend some time - in a central location with good accessibility in Davos.

Schmuggler's country

At your starting point at the Schafbergbahn Gargellen or at the Madrisa-Bahn in Klosters you will be given a GPS device and all of the necessary information for the adventurous route through Smuggler Land. Attractions such as the "secret path" or "on the run" have the smuggler's nerves physically tingling. A play area with slides, swings and slack lines awaits the children. And goats wait to be petted and fed.

RailRider: for the open rail

The Rhaetian railway can do more: On the route between Davos - Filisur - Bergün - Preda things really open up. In the RhB-Cabrio the Grisons heaven comes within touching distance, the glimpses into the gorges are immensely deep.

Klosters dwarf path

In the footsteps of Purzel the dwarf, you and your children will enjoy a mythical experience in the forest of Klosters. You will walk along woodland paths, over hanging bridges and get to know Purzel and his companions, Together with your children you will build a dwarf house with garden, dam brooks, play games and have lots of fun in the fresh air.

Huge Children’s paradise

In the pretty and centrally situated spa park in Davos or in the Silvretta park in Klosters children will happily while away the hours - thanks to wonderful big play areas with wooden aeroplanes, swings, water play and many further attractions. Further children's play areas can be found in the area and on the mountain.

Summer toboggan run

Whiz down the 500 metre long slide and then get in a lift that will carry you conveniently back up again. Fun for young and old alike. Tip: Combine this excursion with a walk from Davos up to the magic mountain - the Schatzalp - or the other way around.

Petting zoos

Rinerhorn

At 2,000 metres above sea level, above the Rinerhorn mountain restaurant, many large and small animals (lamas, pigs, chickens, miniature goats and domestic goats) wait to be petted. Open from the end of June to the end of September depending on weather conditions, Entry is free.

Madrisa animal park

Who likes it more comfortably, simply goes cuddling with our cuddly goats. Since they were raised by hand and are very people-oriented, they are happy about every stroke. Everyone feels comfortable with them! Our running duck couple has also settled in well with their new roommates. Our tierische WG is always happy about visitors, which they can attack and nibble on.
