The Missile

1984 in Finnish Lapland. Single mother Nina accidentally smashes the window of the “Lapland News”. The boss of the harmony-loving cheese paper is persuaded by her to make up for the damage with articles he has written himself - provided the subject matter is cheerful! But Nina thinks she's onto a big story. Did no one but her really hear the deafening bang? When Finnish defense forces arrive in the small village, there is growing evidence that a Soviet missile has crashed in the ice. But the lethargic Laplanders are not interested in nuclear fear. But Nina becomes embroiled in an absurd investigative research project in which the truth is always just a missile's length away.
