The Gotschnatunnel will be closed from Sunday, 29 March from 9 pm for the third and final stage of renovation until the beginning of July. During this time, traffic will be diverted through Klosters.
The 4.2 km long Gotschnatunnel, the core section of the Klosters ring road, has been undergoing renovation in three stages since 2019. From Sunday evening, 29 March from 9 p.m., the tunnel and thus the Klosters bypass will be closed for the third and final stage of rehabilitation.
Expected to reopen at the beginning of July
Geological difficulties, the coronavirus and the work originally planned as night closures for the dismantling and re-installation of the operating and safety equipment mean that the planned work will take around two weeks longer than originally planned. The tunnel is scheduled to reopen at the beginning of July. During this time, traffic will be diverted through Klosters.
