On the first of September the meteological autumn officially starts. And thus one of the most beautiful seasons for hiking. We will tell you the most beautiful autumn tours in Davos Klosters.
1. The classic for sunrises
From the bus station ‘Abzweigung Schwarzhorn’, about two km after the Flüela pass height, the mountain path leads up to ‘Schwarzhornfurgga’ and further over the south ridge to the summit of the ‘Flüela Schwarzhorn’ at 3146 m above sea level. There is no more beautiful place to experience a sunrise. From up here you look into a sea of beautiful mountain peaks - in good weather from ‘Grossglockner’ to ‘Mont Blanc‘.
2. Green, greener, ‘Jöriseen’
The ‘Jöriseen’ are a popular instagram motif. One lake is milky blue-green, the other turquoise, the third deep dark green, the fourth glass-green, the fifth algae-green. The hiking trail leads from the ‘Flüelatal’ up to the ‘Jöriflüelafurgga’, the variant via Winterlücke is closed due to the danger of falling rocks.
3 High-altitude hike on the sunny side
The ‘Alpentour Davos Klosters’ offers a phenomenal mountain panorama with a view of Davos. The hike leads past the historical ‘Hotel Schatzalp’ with the botanical Garrten ‘Alpinum Schatzalp’. What is special about this hike is that you can descend to the valley at each of the nine Alps. Our new hiking film shows that this tour does not promise too much.
4. Where mules once walked
This hiking classic in Klosters leads up to the Swiss-Austrian border on the ‘Schlappiner Joch’ and then via ‘Schlappin’ back to Klosters village. By the way: this route used to be the shortest route from Lake Constance to Lake Como. To shorten the hike, simply take the Madrisa cable car up to the mountain station.
