Three wheels, an electric motor and all tourist information always at hand: Davos Klosters is currently testing the first mobile tourist office as part of a pilot project. Guests can thus benefit from personal tips and information directly on the spot.
"Thanks to the new electric vehicle, we can travel flexibly throughout the entire destination of Davos Klosters. We will be testing its use for two years and then draw a conclusion as to whether we will continue to count on the mobile tourist office in the future and all year round," explains Jean-Pierre Galey, Head of Guest Services at the destination Davos Klosters.
Advantages for guests on site
Guests receive free expert advice and inspiration for further offers directly on the spot thanks to the mobile tourist office. The vehicle can be used all year round on the road as well as on cycle and some hiking trails. The focus is on use at events, but also at tourist hotspots such as railway stations, valley stations or lidos. This new guest service supplements the existing information offices in Davos Klosters.
The idea was born in the "Tourism Office Lab" project
The idea for this pilot project came from the "Tourism Office Lab". A network to which several Swiss tourism organisations belong. The tourism partners Engadin St. Moritz and Thurgau Bodensee Tourismus are also involved with the mobile tourism office. Kyburz Switzerland is responsible for the environmentally friendly implementation of the mobile tourism office.
