The charged snowfarming service in the Flüela Valley has been discontinued again. Cross-country skiers can now once again enjoy an extended and free range of trails in Davos. Anyone who still has a snowfarming start number can return it to Hofmänner Sport, Flury Sports and Coaching, Bünda Sport or the indoor swimming pool in Davos. You can find more information about the cross-country trails in the trail report.
Learn moreThe 4 km long snow farming cross-country skiing trail open at Saturday, 30th October 2021 and can be used by both athletes and amateurs.
Teams and private individuals can use the snow farming cross-country skiing trail, although teams have to register in advance. Users who wish to train during the long-distance time slots for competitive sports must register online.
Snow farming in Davos was extended in autumn of 2015 with the construction of a new infrastructure. Three times the volume of snow could be produced and stored during the winter of 2015/16. This over-summered snow is used in late-autumn to create a 4 km long cross-country trail in the lower Flüela Valley.
Users who have opted for a season pass will be given a number to wear, which is colour coded in line with service level and user group. This number is personal to the user and non-transferable and must be worn during any use of the cross-country ski trail. The permanent bib (cape number) must be returned to the controllers on site after the end of the snowfarming. CHF 50.00 will be charged for permanent bibs that are not returned.
Day ticket weekday: CHF 7.00
Day ticket weekend: CHF 10.00
Day ticket children (U16): CHF 5.00
Season pass or day tickets can be purchased online or directly at the Snowfarming site ticket office.
Online tickets must be exchanged for coloured wristbands at the Snowfarming site ticket office. The coloured wristbands must be worn on the left arm.
There is only limited parking adjacent to the snow-farming arena. We would therefore ask trainers to drive their athletes to the snow farming arena and to park their cars in the "Färich" car park at the entrance to the Flüela Valley. Follow instructions issued by marshals.
