There are things that every racing cyclist must have done once in his life. One of these is the tour over the Albula and Flüela Passes. Today it is considered a classic of cycling. No wonder: Davos has been a stage stop on the Tour de Suisse twelve times - more often than any other Swiss mountain resort. Racing cyclists conquer steep ramps and sometimes narrow serpentines. Rapid descents from the pass summits at over 2000 metres above sea level reward all the exertions. By the way: if you run out of breath on the way, the Rhaetian Railway or Postbus will take you back anywhere.
If, on the other hand, you prefer an easy ride with little traffic, you should take a detour into the side valleys. These are also a good place to relax after work. These include the approximately eight-kilometre-long road from Frauenkirch up to Sertig Sand. Also worthwhile is the continuous asphalt road in the Dischma up to Dürrboden.
For those who stay overnight on site: In Davos Klosters numerous bike hotels have specialised in the needs of cyclists. These include, for example, a locked storage room and washing area for bicycles, a workshop for minor repairs, free laundry service or packed lunches for a small extra charge.
