In Davos Klosters you can feel like Fausto Coppi, Hugo Koblet or Peter Winnen when you conquer the cycling classics Flüela Pass and Albula Pass on a racing bike. More leisurely, but no less spectacular, are tours into the side valleys.
There are things that every racing cyclist must have done once in his life. One of these is the tour over the Albula and Flüela Passes. Today it is considered a classic of cycling. No wonder: Davos has been a stage stop on the Tour de Suisse twelve times - more often than any other Swiss mountain resort. Racing cyclists conquer steep ramps and sometimes narrow serpentines. Rapid descents from the pass summits at over 2000 metres above sea level reward all the exertions. By the way: if you run out of breath on the way, the Rhaetian Railway or Postbus will take you back anywhere.
Quiet side valleys with little road traffic
If, on the other hand, you prefer an easy ride with little traffic, you should take a detour into the side valleys. These are also a good place to relax after work. These include the approximately eight-kilometre-long road from Frauenkirch up to Sertig Sand. Also worthwhile is the continuous asphalt road in the Dischma up to Dürrboden.
