The mountain with a view on 3 three thousand metre peaks

A breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains awaits visitors high up on the Jakobshorn - Tinzenhorn, Pischahorn, Gorihorn, Flüelawisshorn, Schwarzhorn and Sentischhorn - one 3000-metre peak after another! There are also countless hiking trails to help you enjoy the spectacular panorama step by step. And if you want to experience even more thrilling altitude flights, you can also paraglide from the summit of the Jakobshorn.

Paragliding

Have you always wanted to feel free, with the blustering wind at your side boldly gliding through the air? Regional paragliding schools offer training courses and tandem flights to make your dream of flying a reality. If you already are a certified paraglider, you can enjoy an unrivalled diversity and variety of countless launch sites and flying options in Davos Klosters. You can use the starting pads conveniently and at a reasonable price with the flight pass.  An additional CHF 5.- per trip or CHF 10.- per day is charged for the transport of delta wings. The starting sites on the Jakobshorn:

  • Jakobshorn summit: Right underneath the top station of the Jakobshorn cable car (3 minute walk) at an altitude of 2560 m. Direction: SW-NW, Degree of difficulty: intermediate/difficult. 
  • Jatzhütte: 10-minute walk from the Jakobshorn. The starting pad is located just in front of the Jatzhütte at an altitude of 2530 m. Best wind direction is W-S. Degree of difficulty: easy. 
  • Brämabüel: The Brämabüel is a short 20-minute walk from the Jakobshorn in summer. It is worth going there especially if there is a strong valley wind and you will be rewarded by hour-long dynamic soaring flights. The ideal wind direction is NW-NE. The starting pad is at an altitude of 2490 m and is classified as easy.

Clavadeleralp Hands-on Cheese-making

The Clavadeleralp hands-on cheese-making dairy is situated at a height of 2028 m above sea level and offers visitors spectacular views across the panoramic Alpine vista. The hands-on cheese-making dairy can either be reached by taking the Jakobshorn cable car as far as Jschalp and than walking for 45 minutes, taking the post bus to Clavadel and walking for an hour or following one of the other many marked hiking trails from the valley.

  • Hands-on cheese-making dairy: Mid-June to mid-September Hands-on cheese-making: 10:30 to 11:45 (start of cheese production: 10:30)
  • Restaurant: beginning of June to end of October Daily opening hours from 9:00 to 16:00

Mountain Biking

The mountain biking eldorado of the Davos Klosters region offers thrilling and extensive biking tours for fanatical mountain bikers and leisure cyclists. After a pleasant descent, savour the magical panoramic views over the mountains with a reviving drink in one of our mountain restaurants or on one of our sun terraces. Bike maps are available free of charge at all bottom stations. An additional CHF 5.- per trip or CHF 10.- per day is charged for the transport of your bike.

BBQs & Picnic Sites

Secluded picnic spots: Not every BBQ has to include a long hike - you'll find several easily accessible and well-equipped BBQs and picnic spots on our mountains. On Jakobshorn, we recommend the BBQ sites on the banks of Lake Stadlersee, approx. 20 minutes’ walk from the Jakobshorn terminus on hiking trail no. 54 towards Sertig Dörfji. The trail is suitable for prams and wheelchairs. Firewood provided, with stone tables and benches for up to 20 people.
