The Congress Center ist a place for several large and small conferences, events and seminars. The big conferences, as the annual World Economic Forum, the AO-Courses, etc., need lots of space, large rooms and a well-functioning infrastructure.
The Davos Congress Centre is to be extended at a cost of CHF 37.8 million. The electorate approved the proposal on 8 February 2009, with a 53.4% turnout and 2418 votes for versus 1164 against.

The winner project is the famous Swiss architect Henry Degelo. If realized, there is a new congress hall for 2,000 people, and six other small rooms, offices and press rooms as well as various storage and preparation rooms. The main access from the promenade to the Talstrasse is relocated and representatively designed. The newly designed outdoor facility includes 200 parking spaces.
The construction is to start in April 2009, the expanded Congress Center will be opened in December 2010.
Davos Congress is a member of the EVVC. The EVVC represents more than 560 event centers, conference centers, arenas and special locations in Europe.
The Congress Centre has the localities for every type of event – from local meetings, workshops, seminars, exhibits, social and cultural gatherings to internationally renowned events such as the Annual Meeting Davos of the World Economic Forum.
