Mobility Trail Zügenschlucht
The Davos Zügenschlucht Mobility Trail (approx. 4.5 km) leads through the ruggedly romantic Zügenschlucht, beginning at Schmelzboden, where zinc and lead ores from the Silberberg mines were once smelted, and ending at Wiesen station. In bygone days, negotiating this narrow gorge was an enormous challenge for local people.
The Mobility Trail is not an educational trail in the accepted sense, as you will only find a few panels. But from time to time you will come across a telephone number. Use your mobile telephone to call up exciting and interesting information on mobility, most of which is directly related to your actual location. Brochure available at Destination Davos Klosters.
Thomas Mann Trail
Thomas Mann came to Davos in 1912 with his sick wife. He stayed at the health resort for three weeks and experienced the sanatorium life – the inspiration for his novel “The Magic Mountain”. The Thomas Mann Trail leads from the Waldhotel up to Schatzalp. Two illustrative panels along the path refer to these two places and you are also accompanied by three quotations from “The Magic Mountain”.
