Museums and Galleries
Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880 - 1938) lived in Davos from 1917 until his death. His great work is considered to have exercised a pioneering influence on German expressionism. The Kirchner Museum (opened in September 1992) represents the most comprehensive collection of the artist's work in the world. The museum building was designed by two Zürich architects: Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer.
Besides the famous Kirchner Museum there are five more museums open to the public in Davos.

Young Artists in Concert
The Davos Festival «Young Artists in Concert» presents the world's top up-and-coming musicians. Mainly for friends of chamber music it also offers a programme of contemporary compositions.

International Sculptor Symposium Davos
Nationally and internationally known sculptors in addition to junior talents create their sculptures under the attentive eyes of the public during the annual International Sculptors’ Symposium in Davos. This high concentration of talent stands to offer quite a few surprises when they meet at the Seehofseeli lake to realise their personal visions of the theme. Amateurs, too, are offered the opportunity to form their own sculptures during a three-day workshop. A children’s programme will allow children, too, to exercise their creativity modelling and painting. The works created during the symposium will be displayed on the sculpture way upt to Stafelalp in Davos Frauenkirch as well as at the Hohe Promenade in Davos.
